Cultural and Social Responsibility Trip by Las Dalias to Guatemala to Discover the Roots of Its Global Community

Guatemala, the First Stop of the Las Dalias Around The World Project

The Las Dalias market in Ibiza is renowned for its international and multicultural spirit. This year, it launches the Las Dalias Around The World project, a series of journeys to explore the roots of its global community, with its first destination in Guatemala.

Over the coming years, the Las Dalias team will continue traveling the world to connect with the heart and soul behind every product sold in the market. Many of the crafts available at Las Dalias originate from workshops that sustain families and even entire communities in their home countries, promoting fair and respectful work that fosters dignified development. Additionally, Las Dalias will use each trip as an opportunity to deliver financial aid on-site to solidarity projects as part of its corporate responsibility initiative DAR.

Joan Marí, also known as Juanito de Las Dalias, highlights that in its 70-year history, this unique spot in Sant Carles "has welcomed people from 80 nationalities around the world, who have shared their culture, wisdom, and traditions, filling the market with light and color." Now, it is time to make the return journey and visit their places of origin, work, and creative spaces during the winter.

A Las Dalias delegation will be in Guatemala from January 24 to February 5 on a transformative cultural and spiritual journey led by Isabel Lambour, a Guatemalan and coordinator of the market. The team will explore traditional markets, handicrafts, and ancestral ceremonies, deepening their connection with the Mayan cosmovision.

Social Collaboration: Jun Imox Project
As part of its commitment to social responsibility, Las Dalias will make a donation to the Jun Imox community project in San Pedro La Laguna. This center promotes ancestral education through healing and learning workshops led by spiritual guides and local leaders.

Advice

We recommend avoiding peak hours (Saturdays from 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m.), as significant traffic congestion occurs. Additionally, we may need to close the market entrance if full capacity is reached.
