An invitation to the art of storytelling, with a €3,000 prize and international projection
Las Dalias de Ibiza opens the call for the 8th edition of the “LAS DALIAS” INTERNATIONAL STORY AWARD, consolidated as one of the most relevant literary competitions on the Spanish language scene. With a prize of 3,000 euros for the winning story, this award stands out for its prestige, its global participation and its commitment to the dissemination of short literature.
The winning story, in addition to receiving the cash prize, will be published along with its English translation in the renowned Las Dalias Ibiza & Formentera Magazine. The competition, which each year attracts more than a thousand writers from around the world, reaffirms its commitment to the short story as an impactful literary form.
A LITERARY LEGACY
The “Las Dalias” International Short Story Prize has recognized both great authors and promising writers in its previous editions. Gonzalo Calcedo, Nerea Pallares, Pablo Aranda, Matías Candeira, Santiago Casero, Diego Vásquez Rivero and Victoria Trigo Bello are already part of the history of the award.
A GLOBAL CELEBRATION
The award ceremony will be held in June 2025 in the emblematic Las Dalias space, in Sant Carles de Peralta, Ibiza, in an event that will bring together the large family of the most famous hippy market in the world and lovers of literature, music and culture.
With this call, Las Dalias reaffirms its commitment to artistic creation and cultural dissemination, consolidating itself as a benchmark in the field of international literary competitions.
